Structure of the Symposium

The symposium consisted of keynote presentations by leading scholars, thematic panels, roundtables with policy makers and private sector leaders, and individual paper sessions.  There was also a separate pre-symposium workshop that addressed issues related to developing interdisciplinary approaches to teaching and research on science, technology and innovation for development and mechanisms for strengthening networks on science, technology and innovation for development.
